British paranormal activity expert said that nowadays the ghosts are trying to connect with live people using mobile phones, and the number of mysterious phone calls has increased by 43%.
Phil Hayes of Paranormal Research UK believes that the spirits are now able to haunt us over the phone, Sify wrote. For those who are not sure how to tell a "phantom" call from a glitch - usually you can hear heavy static, weak indistinct voice, you may see the "number blocked" or "000000000000" instead of the usual number (or perhaps you just need to change your provider?).
Apparently, ghosts have led the way in technical terms in recent years - just seven years ago, in 2003, another expert on the paranormal (and also from the UK, which is typical), reported the actual fact that ghosts are afraid of mobile phones. Tony Cornell of the Society for Psychical Research found that since the advent of cell phones the number of spotted ghosts decreased by 15%, and lamented that it would not benefit tourism in England, famous for its "haunted houses". Apparently, nothing to worry about :)
